Hey all
Well to cut a long story short, our company delivered salary transfer letters to a bank (Bank X) on 28 April 2010. All of them were executed and funds transferred on the same day with the exception of employees who hold accounts with another Bank (Bank Y)
They were informed that our account was debited but hadnt reached the beneficiaries as yet and finally initiated an investigation and rectified the situation on 03 May 2010.
Due to this delay, Many employees have returned cheques or late charges and since its clearly the fault of Bank X, can they be made liable to pay compensation for this delay? I'm really peeved about this because banks here behave like vultures and hound you to frustration even if their loan or credit card repayments are delayed by a day. I think its pay back time now.
Anyone have first hand experience with situations similar to this? thanks
