Because it both deals with a curve of time/distance/velocity.

If the middle of the wheel is attached to the outside of the wheel, how can it not be spinning?

it need not spin.... because the angular velocity goes on decreasing as u go radially inward... and it reaches zero at the centre

Dr D, why is physics so dull? i mean it has ROYGBIV, and it helps when playing pool, but shouldn't it be more interesting for the layman?

Dear Ms. Scarlet,

Physics is exciting. There are so many fun things about physics it just gives me goosebumps thinking about them. Everything from quantum physics, particle theory, gravity, E=MC^2... the list goes on. These things positively rock.

What do you do for fun Ms. Scarlet?

Sadly I do not have it.

Arniegang is a zillionaire thanks to the tax free cash he has made from Dubai. He should have at least 3 bottles.

Well, whilst it has never been totally 100% adequately explained, gravity is the attraction of one mass to another.

Hate to tell you this, but it can. You just need quite a large piece of paper.

A girl in the USA did it for some credit points or something, I read about it a month ago.

Many have pondered this question for time eternal (or at least the last 10,000 years of humanity not eating bananas and nuts all the time) and many have come to different conclusions.

It's an interesting one.

I think it's partly chemistry, partly personality, partly natural selection, partly the need to share our experiences.

I would like to think there's a spiritual element to it as well.

I'm not sure falling in love is a conscious decision though. For Dr. D. falling in love has always been *BAM*, he meets someone and all he ever thinks about is her.

No real answer on this one sorry. Perhaps you should ask the question in the Romance section?

I cannot subscribe to this. The way love makes you do stupid things sometimes can lead to anything but procreation.

Procreation in a true sense is easy, it doesn't require lifelong commitment. In fact, it doesn't require commitment lasting longer than 15 minutes.

The appendix despite contrary belief does indeed perform a function. The appendix is specifically designed to cultivate specific types of bacteria to assist in digestion. You can still digest without this bacteria, but it does assist it.

When the appendix becomes inflamed it is because the environment within it becomes unsuitable for good bacteria and ideal for bad bacteria, which can lead to swelling, inflamation and peritinitis, which can often result in death.

Whilst an appendix infection if caught early can be treated with anti-biotics, the resulting damage to the appendix means it may never be suitable for its original purpose again, and it is often better to remove it.

You still blink, since blinking is an unconscious activity, the brain sends the signal to both eyelids when necessary. Winking is a conscious activity, and there is a very tiny portion of the population who cannot wink, or can only wink with one eye.
