I said that a while ago!
The question is now: at what point do england declare and give their bowlers another shot at the Aussies? I would like to see England post up something like 250ish and then spend 3 or 4 hours having a go at the Aussies, giving them lots of "chin music".
yorky500 wrote:Not so sure Ian, they may start off chasing it, but, if a few wickets fell early doors, you guys would shut up shop. All depends on how England do tmr morning.
yorky500 wrote:Hahahahahahaha, what a wind-up merchant you are. I am not biting.
England may just say "fook it" we will bat all day and let the Aussies toil. Its all about the mindset in this game. England have come out on top in this game, I believe, especially following the loss in the first test.
I think the rest of the series is going to be very interesting.

If England say "fook it" and just try to block and pad all day they're going to be in trouble. Spin on a 5th day wicket is impossible just to block and pad away and Warnie is a master in these conditions. He hasn't done much this test, but that's because he's saving himself.
Wind up merchant? Everything is going to plan, Australia will win, you will see. Don't come in here calling me lucky tomorrow morning when 'ol blighty is hanging it's head in shame.
Otherwise I'll buy you a pint of the good stuff next time we meet.

the_zooter wrote:Yeah, definate draw. Aussies can't get us out in time to have a bat and knock off the runs. Same goes vice-versa - we can't bowl the Aussies out quick enough to win. We should have played Monty. Ashley Giles is hardly going to rip through a team with his bowling. I doubt he could run through my sunday league teams side!

yorky500 wrote:Well, its gone totally "tits-up". What more can you say?
we came out with the wrong attitude of dead bat, the Aussies came out fighting. Fair play to the Aussies.

You are!
It's called lulling the opposition into a false sense of security
