if you travel from dubai to internet city on SZR there is very big and long billboard of TATWEER inside the wall of dubai police academy... just opp to Mall of Emirates....there were lot of trees in front of that billboard till few days ago and now there r trees but not in front of the billboard.
They cut down lot of trees which were covering the ad coz its a huge ad....
at the first thought why anybody gave premission to put a billboard there if you can see there r trees and ur ad will hide behind these trees...still...but i think TATWEER gave a very BIG DONATION to gov for there eco frirendly project
we r really going green...

Tatweer actually built the hoarding... they were always going to cut the trees down. Unfortunate, but I guess one could say easily compensated by the number of trees they will be installing in Dubailand.
Of course, most people fail to see the big picture on that one.

Losing old natural trees is never good though.

i was told with a billboard like that, the land lease will be somewhere between 5-10 million. think about the lessor, i am sure money prevails in this case.
