Er actually, it has nothing to do with engine size!
Facts: The band were a very well known group of individual session musicians (Lol Creme, Kevin Godley, Graham Gouldman and Eric Stewart) who worked with some high profile bands and musicians (Paul McCartney, Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders, Justin Hayward, Hermans Hermits and Neil Sedaka to name but a few) and were signed by total twat and entrepreneur Johnathan King. They needed a name and 10cc was decided upon as it was the average volume of male ejaculant and therefore seen as a symbol of their male potency!
All individual producers and skilled musicians, they have followed varied and interesting paths since splitting. Godley and Creme went into music video production and became legends in their own rights as the most innovative video producers in the business. Graham Gouldman worked with The Ramones and collaborated with US singer/songwriter Andrew Gold to form the group Wax and now still tours as 10cc. Eric Stewart (possibly the most talented of the 4) went on to produce bands and singers like Sad Cafe and Agnetha Faltscog (the blond one from ABBA!), write soundtrack music and perform on albums such as Tug of War and Pipes of Peace with Paul McCartney.
Any other music questions?
