Nobody is talking about how fantastic this event was... instead what we keep talking about is problems on this forum. Some of comments on the other thread were "I sooooo sick of it". Whats with the attitude guys?

I quite enjoyed it. Looking at it from a far, it looked very impressive indeed - I think its something we could never ever build in the UK - and not because of the money, but because of red-tape, a lack of willingness by all concerned, arguments, legal battles, construction problems, more arguments, protests, strikes, more arguments - etc etc

It was a great event, that goes without saying, it should also be understood that some criticism will be around and it should be taken as constructive in order to improve the next time.

yes please improve it next time - especially training the volunteers. dont know left from right and outright rude especially the arabic speaking staff. locals were hospitable. cops were extremely cooperative and took care of the traffic very well.
