A head chef at the Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi has been fined AED92,000 ($27,000) for storing an out-of-date tub of yoghurt in a kitchen fridge.

In essence, I think the Chef deserved a correction for that. But to lay the full blame with the Chef himself is a bit off.

The company should receive the massive fine. And he needs a warning. It is effective though

A bit overwhelming actually. The Chef probably won't be able to work because of a nervous breakdown...

I guess the hotel should take the blame for bad health and safety practises unless the chef didn't follow the rules?

Old yoghurt can be BAAAAD !!!

The chef is the chief!!! He relies on his staff for such matters, inventory and such. But at the end of the day, he is responsible for his staff's performance. Poor bugger.

Surely the hotel manager must carry the last can....
