Hayden is playing the best I've ever seen.

Yep, I have to confess that I was one of the people calling for his scalp not so long ago.

He's doing well for a guy who was a bee's willie away from being dropped.

Who would have thought a one day international would take two days to finish.

Australia to comfortably defend their 322 in this TDI.

Hayden with the midas touch - Awesome batting display! The amazing thing is that it took 19 balls for Matty Hayden to get of the mark.

Like what I read somewhere, Aussie cricket team is a cruel bunch of hungry animals on the field..
" When I watch Ponting spit into the palms of his hands and rub them together, some shabby-genteel part of me cringes, and a stereotype is reinforced." . hahah They are just mighty, sheer agression n mental strength. Indian tigers didnt even make a tiger cat meow, forget abt a roar. That forces me to turn on to Sri Lanka as the only other Asian team capable of doin something...

Right now they are killing the WI's, they all seem to be hanging their hat on a Magic Lara innings, however they forgot to let him have his stick back.

Malinga was awesome :) I went to a srilankan waterhole..last night.. returned after watching SL losing the grip. n turned on the tv back home right on time to see malinga's magic.. it was amazing.. a dream spell from him n vass.. thought SL almost won it.. had Jayawardene kept a second slip for malinga.. I liked his temperament, nice positive n attacking field set in the last few overs and excellent bowling from vass n malinga..but the score was too less to defend..

It's a points based system, so yeah, top four.

1st plays 4th in the 1st semi.
2nd plays 3rd in the 2nd semi.

Australia only have to win one more game to be assured of a semi final place as they carried over 2 points from their pool.

Yep, each pool winner carries over 2 points.

So far Australia is the only pool winner to win their first game in the 8's.

Yes but they lost their first 8's game, which means they lost the advantage it gave them.

So far Australia are miles ahead on the table with points and NRR, but it's only early days.

Correct. The super 8's is bias towards pool winners, giving each that little leg up.

However, that advantage is also now gone for them.

New Zealand is the final team with the 2 point advantage.

West Indies play NZ tonight... will be a good game.
