First post on Dubai Forums and it's about a "cowboy"!

I was in Dubai between July 2 and July 7 and took this opportunity to order 4 bespoke shirts and 1 bespoke suit (with 2 pairs of trousers). I went to "Royal Fashions" @ Souk Madinah Jumeirah and paid Dhs2765.

I found the price quite high but though the quality will be high as well.

I've purchased bespoke suits and shirts in Singapore and the quality delivered by Royal Fashions is appalling, really appalling (marks on the jacket and trousers and very poor finish on shirts).

Even worse, adding insult to injury, their employees, as soon as you've paid the full price, become very agressive and threatening.

Before posting here, I tried to contact them by E-mail, twice. Results: not a single answer...

Therefore, I will recommend NOT to go to this shop.

Is there a 'trading standards' equivalent in Dubai.... I don't know!

Did you pay on card? Cancel your payment through the Credit Card company!

'The Major'on here was looking for a good tailor.
I can't find the thread.... PM him. I'm sure he will point you in the right direction!

Thought I would try Kachins by having some trousers made, they are renowned as one of the best tailors in Dubai - they were good, although nowhere near as good as my tailors in Saville Row

I heard there is a good tailor in Jumeirah Beach Hotel, never went there though, maybe someone can try it..

I have bought loads of merchandise from this establishment, over the past 18 months and have had not one issue.

I suggest this is a personal grudge and not a reasonable complaint
