Hi folk’s,
As I’m new’ish to Dubai, I’m desperately looking for a BMW E36 M3 EVO, that’s the one with the 3.2 litre “VANOS” engine, I would prefer an SMG box version if possible, problem is I think I saw one of these (Dakar Yellow) but ain’t sure if it was just a 325/8 converted to look like one, if any one has any info regarding the availability of this car in this region I would be eternally grateful, I would only consider a LHD model as I don’t want the hassle of trying to register a “Jap import RHD” model.
Any colour, reasonable mileage, convertible or modified will be considered.

You cannot register a Jap RHD car here in Dubai. I believe you can do it in Oman.

You would to convert the car to LHD, and that would be risky.

I have not seen the car you are looking for here in Dubai, but that does not mean to say you cannot get them. Lots of M3's/5's here in Dubai though.

Perhaps ring around the car dealerships and see what they say.

Been phoning EVERYWHERE for last 3 months regarding this car, I’ve also been to the used car complex 8/9 times as I work round the corner to find one but as soon as I start talking about model numbers, ie: e36, they just look at me with a blank stare then try to avert my attention to something COMPLETELY different, they also don’t seem to understand what an SMG gear box is, so either way it’s been a “no go’er”.
SOME ONE HELP ME, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how to get around ya problem.

Try Exotic cars or Tony Edwards BMW dealerships, they may be able to help more, but I guess you may have tried those already
