So far as I have heard, the Corolla as an export model as opposed to domestic market in Japan, is unlikely to be launched at all in overseas markets. The Yaris models have effectively replaced them, and if you look at engine and body sizes on the Yaris, you can see why: there will not be enough room for another model range between top end Yaris and entry level Camry.
Could be wrong though - the Corolla was the most popular car in the world, even in name for a while, and I'm sure Toyota here hurt a bit when the Crown was no longer available here, despite its replacement being a perfectly good car.
As a point of interest, we don't even get half of the Toyota model range in the Middle East - you only need to sniff aroung the right-hand drive market in Awir to see what else is available in Japan - some it good looking stuff too, even if the badges and graphics can be a bit suspect on the English language front!
