I have a uae driving license, which marks vehicle permited to drive as auto. Can I buy a manual car?

my wife has a converted license which does not have any restriction, if i register a manual car under her name, then me driving it. wud i have any issues in case of accident/insurance claim/police?

how do i convert my license to be able to drive manual anyways? Do i have to take the whole process again?

I'd say you can buy one. Registering it might be awkward.

I think getting stopped by the police would be a risk if they had a look at the car and saw manual.

Having an accident is more likely to be a problem.

Ask the RTA / traffic department about conversion?
