they are factory left hand drive and can be registered in the UAE ,
also the RB series motors(from the skylines) fit nicely in them

how much are the worth in the UAE ? i got lots of these cars around , i can send them over if anyone is intrested

There are rules in play for next year that will likely not allow any car over 10-15 years to be registered at the very least they will likely not be allowed to be imported.

For ref, though a skyline can go from anywhere from AED 9k to 120 K for a 2000+ GTR 34 customized.

There aren't too many ricers on ths forum, you may be better off exloring this one.

I have been hearing that rumor for the past 10 years.....

Let me say that i own a 21 year old Porsche, insurance has never been a problem, neither has registration.

I would like to know who started this ;)

PS: They cannot do that, there are classic car clubs all across the UAE with cars (actuall runing cars, not show cars) from the 30's.

I found that the source of the rumour is an article in both 7days and Gulf News. It was only speculation by the RTA (or their former self) while hunting for ideas to reduce traffic. Even my cars are older than 15 years.

As for the 240SX, they will sell but engine mods are illegal, although there are ways to get around that too. You won't get more than Dhs 10k for those cars.
