Russian community is organizing charity campaign for orphans and sick children in Russia. We already collected 200 kg of clothes and blankets, but we have two issues:
1. We would be able to collect more charity, if we have enough storage space, which we don’t have as of now
2. We have volunteers in Russia, who are willing to receive and distribute the charity. We also have orphan houses and hospitals, who are waiting for our help. However, we don’t have founds to sent the charity.
Can you provide us with some ideas or advices please? Initially, we planned to raise the found though organizing some marathon or other sport activities in Satwa Park, but we don’t know the procedure. If someone has this experience and can share it with us, we will highly appreciate it. We have heard that through Emirates Post we can send up to 20 kg per parcel, which will cost (by shipment) AED 280, so we are talking about initial shipment of 10-12 parcels for 280 dirham each. We are also trying to find some free shipment or air cargo, who would be interested to participate in the campaign. Any of your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
