I have some questions reagrding starting a business up in Dubai. Can anybody please help by answering any of the questions I have below:

The comapny is an internet based comapny that has an offline element invloved.

- how do I go about setting up such a company in Dubai?
- if it is a dot.com business, does it have to have a UAE domain?
- does the company have to have a local sponsor?
- do I need one partner in the company to be a local?
- how do I go about registering the company?

it's easy to set up new business in Dubai.....there are a lot of companies dealing with business formating for cheap price....
as I know.... you need first a trade liecen through local sponser or with partner ( UAE LOCAL )..... tenancy contract for your office....passport copy of sponser...and other little documents....can be done withen two or three days....
also, it no need for ae. domain from etisalat if your company dealing with another hosting service.....

You could check out opening in the Dubai Internet City Freezone (www.dubaiinternetcity.com) where you do not need any local sponsor and it has alot of people in the ICT field right next to you. Its good landscape but rent and licensing are more expensive then if you would open inside Dubai.

Lots of things in terms of dealing with the government, visas, etc.. are simplified with their Hospitality team.
