FreeZone Setup for a Services company not Trading Sep 20, 2006
Can anyone tell me

1. Which Freezone is the cheapest?
2. Do you have to rent an office or can you rent a work station?
3. How many extra visas do you get?
4. Approx. costs for Freezone setup?

Remember, I'm trying to start a SERVICES business not a Trading company.

Can anyone give me some pointers and advice?

Thanks

You need some consultant.

Dubai Airport freezone is the cheapest in dubai.

How about Ajman freezone ? you can sell some ships perhaps.

To setup a business in freezone, why dont you search the free zone site or contact those people

If you are asking about the UAE then Ajman and RAK are compartively cheaper.

2. Do you have to rent an office or can you rent a work station?

You can just have a desk in most of them, again might differ in different free zones i know DIC for sure you can have just a desk.

3. How many extra visas do you get?

The number of visas is always tied up with the amount of space you rent. If you get a desk you get one visa if you get a small office you get 3 and so on.

4. Approx. costs for Freezone setup?

varies on which freezone .. I know DIC has a program called first steps which can get you up and running at 65,000 dirhams for the first year. But i know DIC also has a huge issues of lack of office space. You really have to contact them to get a clearer picture, most of the freezones will have nice salesmen/women.

Actually the concept of freezone is that you technically cant invoice and sell goods. So ya it would have to be a representative office or a services company.
