Hello; my husband and I have very important "business" in Dubai
to take care of.
We need to spend in Dubai 3 to 4 months ( maybe longer)
coming fall -winter this year .
Our financial means for this mission are limited .
We are already prepared to live on rice and water,
but still the problem of accommodation is the burning one.
Can please someone advice, how is the situation in Dubai,
with renting the room from local person, family or
weekly / monthly rates in hotels ?
Our "standard" expectations are close to none, just basic safety and shower .
Our budget for rent $600/ month .
We both are American citizens, European and South American origin .
We are coming from California .
Maybe someone would like to swap housing with us ?
We have very nice place 2bed/2bath in the heart of Hollywood .
We would live the car to use.
Also , what are the chances of finding the temporary employment
by my husband.
No profession really ( an artist, musician), but broad experience
in working in restaurants , bars, hotels, sales .
Perfect Spanish, English, Italian . Good French .
He is not afraid of any work, cleaning will do , work at the store ,
movie theater, tourist attraction place, anything.
Just work for food if nothing better can be found.
To be able to work in exchange for accommodation ,
or discounted accommodation, would be a dream .
My husband is 39 years old and he is good looking .
I know last statement sounds silly, but sometimes good look helps
in finding employment.
I have been reading this forum for well over a year now.
I know it's members are very helpful, and have many brilliant ideas,
I am trying to provide as many information as I can, hopping for help,
which we need so very much now.
If someone from this forum is going to be wiling to meet us,
when we in Dubai, we gladly explain what are our reasons for
going to Dubai.
The third; we would like to buy Vespa type transportation and use it.
Are we dreaming in this matter, or is it doable ?
We appreciate any help a lot .
