Hi all,
First post although I have been reading thru hundreds from this site. I just wanted to give some feedbacks on my short experience (I arrived Wednesday 20).
I have been driving in Al Barsha, the Greens and the Dubai Marina. Clearly, depending on your budget of course, it is not that hard to find an apartment to rent. From 70k (3 cheques) for a studio in Al Barsha to 120k for a huge 1-bedrom at the marina. Greens offer 1-bedroom for 90k. A new tower is going to finished these days. A new one will be ready by the end of July.
My general feeling is that this city is rather empty. Lots of speculation on the prices. Always relatively high (well, I was living in Amsterdam, and actually is more expensive in regard to the price per square meters)
My advise is: Don't run spend all your day driving around. No need to get an appointment, it is easy to visit apartments with apartments to let (building with phone number on a big banner are good candidates).
Anyway, good luck to everyone.
Bowie.
