I am looking for a furnished place for a couple of weeks Nov 29, 2006
I will be moving to Dubai around December 22nd, 23rd, 24th, or 25th and I will need a place to stay (i.e furnished apartment, inexpensive hotel) until I get settled in with a place of my own and everything. Any suggesstions on what I should do? Where I should look and how much it is gonna cost?

Help pweeez!

Ok then, PM each other. In the meantime try to look at classified ads online - gulfnews perhaps.

Noni,

Just search the internet for hotels in Dubai. There are plenty around, I mean it.

If you are going to be working on Airport Road, then may I suggest that you look for something in Deira area, Al Qusais, etc. You will sane a lot of time and money on taxis.

I know that there are tons of hotels, I am just wondering if staying short term somewhere like a serviced apartment might be a better deal?

Sorry, I am not familiar with prices, but you have to decide how long you will want the place for in the first instance, then perhaps e-mail them or call them to discuss and negotiate rates.
