Countries that their locals will soak you for cash(unfortunately been there):
*Egypt
*Syria
Security reasons:
*Iraq (though the culture is very interesting)
*Yemen: (they hijack tourists but again their culture is amazing)
Freaking reasons:
*Saudi Arabia ( I read about religious men hunting down women, teenagers with long hair cuts and 2-year-old girls that wear short dresses!)

I've been trying to think about this for some time....

And as long as there isn't any security or safety issues, I am game.

As for Mongolia, a friend of mine took the Trans-Siberian Train from Beijing to Moscow and said it was the best experience of her life.

I got emails from her when she was in Mongolia and she said she was taming wild horses and all this unbelievable stuff. I was jealous.

yemen is a beautiful country, plus my ancestors are from there to begin with, might be dangerous but its a great hang out if you know some people there.
the only place i would say to go to is Kaaba(Mecca) and Madina, no other place is worth it.

I miss someone very much, I hate to see her work 12 hours a day 6 days a week just to barely live, cost of living is so high there.
And Hawaii is the same too high tourist trap ect, the Virgin Isles and Alaska are much prettier.

You really would rule out an entire continent? There are some places in Africa that are so gorgeous you wouldnt beleve it. Seriously, try rafting down the Nile or tracking gorillas in Uganda. Most villagers there are extremely friendly and there is are some extremely interesting and vibrant cultures there. If thats too much for you S. Africa has all the comforts of home. I really wouldnt group the whole continent together with some war torn wastelands like Iraq and Afganistan.

Nobody talked about South America ? I won't visit Colombia, Israel-Palestine too...and my third will beeeeeeee...Italia, because Italians are very very noisy^^
Just kidding for Italy, but each time I met Italians they talked to me noisily
