I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this.
Anyone else having problems with Du?
Funny thing was that this all co-incided with the local headline "TRA-Skype. We are ready to talk".
It seems the TRA is playing games again, and I am going to have to get serious about bypassing their servers now. I really didn't want to go to this effort, but while I'm at it I may as well make it worth my time, and go for free cable tv as well, instead of paying showtime.
I was an innocent person, but now they are forcing me to expose myself to pornographic websites that would otherwise be unseen behind their firewall.
But if that is the way they want it, who am I to argue.

It certainly looks like they have found a way to block SKYPE, been a couple of weeks now actually.

Nope, no problems here I use SKYPE on DU and am having no issues without a VPN or with one.

My internet was down totally around the same time. Now no skype. Seems everyone at AR, has the same problem. Its a game of cat and mouse. By the time they reach you chocs, we'll have it sorted.

I live in the Marina and lost the ability to call land and mobile lines from Skype about a Year ago, and lost the P to P service around three to four Months ago, I downloaded VBuzzer and that worked for a while until recently and now I need a VPN for both to work P to P and to call Land and Mobile Lines.

I think Benwj is right, it’s a blocking technology Du and Etisalat are rolling out!
