visa to oman

Just booked a little mini break to muscat for hubby's 30th. We have Aussie passports and have our UAE residency - do we need a visa to go to Oman? We're coming in by plane (not driving). Do we need a visa for any GCC/middle east country for that matter? Your advice please :)

Your advice please :) no need but double check here http://www.rop.gov.om/services_passport2.asp#one It will cost you 30 dhs for the visa at the airport. Ironically if you are on a valid visitor visa to Dubai (from a country where you do not need a visa like most europe, usa, canada, australia, etc.) you pay nothing so long as you are within the UAE visa period but if you are a UAE resident you pay. Strange but true, I paid, Mrs. Concord did not. Well I always pay.
