| a friend of mine wanted to buy a SUV to use in abu dhabi. budget is about 94k aed max. what are the options? how is the 2003-2004 Prado? it need not be a solid off roader as long as it drives well on the road. |

| He'll like the Prado if he isn't looking for BMW handling or something. Comfortable and reliable. |

| how is the interior of the 2003 prado? controls too plasticky??? wat about the nissan murano?? and no he is not looking for x5 type handling or land rover type off roading :) |

I don't recall the Prado interior materials right now, although I do remember it looked decent. The Murano has less luggage space, better handling and little off-road ability, opposite of the Prado. |

with that budget he can get a Ford, a Hyundai or a Kia brand new |

| not interested in the hyundai or kia suvs. is the ford explorer a good buy for use in the UAE? how reliable is it? |

| The old Fords had a serious issue with the transmission (automatics), there was an old saying: "buying a ford? make sure you have a second transmission in the trunk just in case..." Offcourse, technology and reliability came a long way since then, so the 2000+ cars should be able to handle it ;) |
