i'm desparatly missing my bike from the uk, and considering either a track bike or a mx bike to keep me happy..
must admit the roads do look a bit mad.

Bman, im looking for something i can streetfighter - maybe a CBR900RR or probably a ZX7R....anything cheap preferred and im not too fussed about cosmetic damage.
Kjames, yeah..i feel the same way too Im missing my R1 terribly :cry: . You should get yourself a track bike though i've heard that track days are rather expensive. An MX will be great fun on the dunes too !

i've not really looked into the price of track days here. .. i assumed they'd be in line with uk prices.. so once a month would be do-able.
an mx bike would be great too.... oh, actually, maybe just a collection of bikes, although i tihnk i'd be divorced.

she hates (hated) my bike..
strangley she asked me this morning in the car, if i'd rather be on my bike riding to work or in the car with her..
told her i'd rather be on the bike, every day of the week.

i've only ben followed by the missus once on my bike.. and that was to drop it off when i sold it in the uk, just before i came here..
it was a very depressing slooooww ride. in hindsight i would have rather gone myself, had a blast and got a 50 quid cab home.

Motorcycle 3000 in the Dunes Centre in Diyafah Road occasionally heve 2nd hand rice burners up for sale. They had a comparatively clean CBR600RR going for 21,000Dhs a few months back, but the lack of decals on the side did make it look suspiciously like a dropped and re-built.
They had a cracking fully tricked out 'Busa in there for a while also!
The hardcore 'biking' community in the UAE is quite active. There are some mentals out here though!

If you are looking for a road bike, speak directly with honda in Dubai , good prices, good service.
For off-road bikes, honda for new ones, Sandstorm motorcycles for 2nd hand.
The might be some for sale on as well.
