| I was wondering what people consider travel "essentials" these days. It used to be that one need to bring a toothbrush everywhere but nowadays most hotels can provide you with one, etc. I was booked at a hotel in Georgia (the country) and they had a 5ml package of shampoo (head and shoulders!). So I thought that perhaps shampoo would be essential for traveling to Georgia. Anuway, got the hell out of that hotel and the new one has shampoo (I think but I am not due for a shower for another few days...) Here are a few things I do bring no matter where I go 1. Flashlight (torch) small maglite type. 2. Small pocket knife (swiss army type). 3. Deodorant 4. One pair of underwear and socks per day How about you? |

| 1. Toothbrush 2. Deodorant and Cologne 3. Brush 4. Hair Wax 5. Underwear (one for each day) 6. multiple pairs of socks ...and it seems more common these days... 7. Notebook Computer |

# 8 is interesting. # 7 I have on my carry on luggage. However on a recent trip I got to the airport after they had closed the ticket counter (not emirates) but I convinced them to let me on board but it meant I had to carry my bad thru the airport (a bag with my suits, etc. which I always check in). I cleared security with the bag and it went thru with the pocket knife (small but...) |
