I hadn't intended this thread to be about the relative merits of smoking, rather whether people smoked or not. Yes we know it's double-plus-ungood - now can we get down to the issue of what we smoke.

Weary Heart meet sarcasm. That's why she put the cheeky wink! She was teasing. Interesting to note that the poll shows there are just as many non-smokers as are smokers. So perhaps the shisha night was not such a good idea, it's alienating. Shisha's are worse than ciggies.

And there's many practising muslims on the forum that don't indulge in alocohol, so perhaps forum events where drinking is involved are not a good idea. And there are Frisbists here too (people against the use of frisbees) of which I am one, so I don't think the forum should *ever* have a day out that could possibly involve the use of Frisbees. Each to their own I say. I don't smoke Sheesha, but I'm going to make an appearance anyway.

I don't smoke (I'm the boring one, so duh) But I've always been curious of smokers who exercise regulary, go to the gym or jog, etc. How do you deal with the extra strain on your lungs? Or do you even feel it?

I used to play 1st grade Rugby in Australia and I didn't really feel the effect. It felt weird having a cig after exercising though. I liked your old avatar better than your new avatar. I think the reason why some smokers don't notice the effects of smoking in their athlethic performance is because they don't know what their performance would be in the first place if they didn't start smoking..

And I don't think there's anything wrong with not liking jokes - we're all different afterall, we all have our quirks... but i do enjoy making fun of people from time to time. lucifer, oh that was not a joke, it was just a shoe thing. wearyheart, I like hiking too, but my lung capacity is not that great, I'm working on it though... pinoy, you make some great points.

I do not smoke, surprise surprise! I use to like the smell of cigarettes and tried it but never liked it. I tried shisha it is fun but I hate the smell of weed Yuk!!and I have seen what it does to people. Iam boring, I know but I love my body and hate putting junk in it.
