| It is somewhat ironic how he's encountered some of the most dangerous animals/reptiles in the world yet gets taken out by a stingray. Personally thought he was abit of a clown on tv but much respect to his work towards preserving nature through funding for wild life sanctuaries, sponsorships, education programs... the list goes on... |

| I don't find this very funny. I had the pleasure to meet Steve Irwin in the early 90's and back then he was a genuine individual that had just set up a small Crocodile Farm on the sunshine coast. In an odd, way, this really hurts and was a downer on the day. |

| He will be missed by me and my family :cry: We learn a lot about croc and snakes from his show on animal planet. Always entertaining and always put a big smile on my daughter's face. Yes - he was a lunatic! Yes - he went head first! But he made the world feel happy with his energetic burst A world so large and loyal that it's hard to comprehend I doubt we truly count the warmth until life meets an end To count it now I say a prayer with words of inspiration May the spotlight shine forever on his dream for conservation ...My daughter broke the news to me - my six year old in tears It was like she'd just turned old enough to show her honest fears I tried to make some sense of it but whilst her Dad was trying His little girl explained it best...she said "The crocodiles are crying" Their best mate's up in heaven now - the crocs up there are smiling!
