| Took a brief walk after lunch. 5 minutes into the walk or maybe its 2 minutes but it feels like 60 minutes, and I felt sick. The weather is turning HOT !!! I am now back in the air-con space, officially announce sun-baked. Did I get to exercise - NO !!! Did I get sick - thought I almost died !!! Welcome to the desert indeed. |

did you have 6 beers for lunch! Sounds like it! |
| BabyDoll |
| My poor forehead. I can still feel the burn. Wish I had some beer now ... |

I thought you were from Zimbabwe where it is hot! Or is that Chocoholic? |
| St.Lucifer |
Who else is from Zimbabwe? |
| BabyDoll |
Zimbab-what? Is it like a Korean dish. :P I only know bimbimbap Yum yum ... Ouch my forehead ... |

Do you've a cucumber nearby? |
| BabyDoll |
| No. But I saw some aloe vera by the greens the other day. To get there, I will have to walk through the heat / sun. Not a good idea |
| ^ian^ |
| Yeah it's getting hot now. Still pretty nippy at night though. |
| BabyDoll |
| I heard it will be cold tonight due to that "Shawarma" wind again ! |

| does anyone actually eat cucumbers...I always get a lot of attention from male shoppers when I am picking the best ones out...so I stopped buying them... |
| BabyDoll |
| Food is one of the basic needs in life. |
| BabyDoll |
Obviously you DON'T eat your cucumbers  |

Coz thats the only thing that can break the ice in here.....  Another thing BD...make it a point of bringing a small bottle of water whenever you venture out.....so easy to be dehydrated here.... |

Thanks! I kid you not. I only walked out for like 2 minutes. |

| hmm, didn't notice it was that hot today. But I don't mind, I need the sun since I'm white as hell at the moment. |
| BabyDoll |
Sun like this probably give you fast skin cancer than tan .. |

| Its a good thing to acclimatize your body again to the heat after a long spell of cold weather here....a shorty walk outside (not b/w 12-2) 2x a week will suffice. As the summer starts you can be sure you'll not feel like you're in a tandoor.... :D |
| reviewer |
Just to remind you that lighter skinned persons are much more prone to skin cancer due to over-exposure to heat coupled with the humidity. |

Eh, I've been here all my life. This isn't much at all compared to the Summer as you may know. That reminds me of a time we went to the coast of Oman in a small speed boat. We were supposed to switch to a bigger air conditioned boat when we got there but it had some problems so it never made it. That left us in the sun from 8:00am till 6:00pm with pretty much no shade. I didn't get sick but nobody could touch me for like a week! Good times. |

| Sunblock, sunblock, sunblock. Tanning ages you like mad too. Although the body does need exposure to sunlight to produce vitamin D. |
