Just wondering if anyone is using slingbox player in Dubai. I have just setup my slingbox in the UK and i am planning to use it to watch UK TV when i move to Dubai in the new year. I am just hoping Etilsat don't block the TCP ports it requires

Sorry i will try and remember to use the search function in the future! My slingbox is setup and ready for use, so i am looking forward to try it out when i arrive in Dubai in the next couple of weeks :) I have already used it over the net from within the UK and it's working well because i have about 380kbit upload rate with my provider

I am now in Dubai and i am pleased to say that my Slingbox is working perfectly. I am getting a download rate of about 356 Kbps from my slingbox back in the uk, which means that i can watch Sky at nearly full screen on my Macbook. I am in the Lakes and my ISP is DIC Telecom Later on this year Sling media are releasing something called SlingCatcher which is a box that allows you to stream content to your local TV which should be great for me!
