| I have a Sharjah entry visa and believe that once I enter the UAE, I will get a residence via from Sharjah. Since my job is in Dubai, I was wondring what the implcations of having a Sharjah visa, while workng and livin gin Dubai are? Can I get a driving license in Dubai even though I have a Sharjah visa? |

If your company is in Dubai, your employment visa will be from Dubai. If you have a visit visa, you are legally not allowed to work at all. You cannot get a visa of one state and a licence of another. Not any more at least. But you can live anywhere you want. |

| At the moment I have a Sharjah entry visa. What I have been told is that once I arrive in Dubai, I will have to go to Sharjah, for my medicals, after which I will get my employment visa (also from Sharjah). My office is in Dubai. |

You say your office is in Dubai, however your Company would have to be based and registered in Sharjah if thats where your employment visa is to be issued. |

| Well, yes. they have offices in Dubai and Sharjah, so I guess the Sharjah office would have processed my visa. |
