| 5 dirhams...or did you mean 5000 ?....with a kid...sharjah...togeather...with that kind of budget....frankly no!....but there are families that try and survive on that budget...there are a lot of factors...would you have to drive to dubai everyday...meaning owning a car...how much would your kids school fees cost...dubai education isnt cheap...even if you get a very cheap place in sharjah...the rent alone would eat into your salary...frankly in a nutshell...for a family of three...earning 5 thousand a month...i would not recommend it!...hope that helps!!... |

| I'd say yes, but not very comfortably. Families survive on less. 1 bdrm apartment min 25k in Sharjah? That's half your income gone already. |

| hmmm...5 dirhams...wut can u do with 5 dirhams? well dubaidreams....is accommodation provided? if it is then i guess it should be "OK". but then again u are asking if u can survive in sharjah, so that means no. just a question....how are u surviving now?? not everyone is living a high flying life-style like our good fren constantine! hehe...kidding ameet! i guess there are many many more people who are living on less than 5 dirhams in dubai, hoping to earn more in the near future. if there is a will there is a way.... |

| haha...yeah me too....learnt how to cook a couple of dishes in jordan since i am stuck here alone all the time.... incidentally i was back for a couple of days last week for labour day. :) . but i had to dedicate all my time to my wifey and her SHOPPING!!! Will definitely give u a buzz when i'm in town. I hope to complete my project soon so that I can get out of this god forsaken place!! and yes i was referring to 5000 dirhams....u can't even buy a big bottle of water with 5 dirhams!!!! |
