Nanny cam?

Got modem-router installed with 512Kbps DSL connection at home. Need to setup a nanny cam (hooked to router if possible so home laptop can be switched off) which broadcasts/uploads real time video (if bandwidth is sufficient) or uploads pics at some interval to internal storage or a website. To monitor directly (web-based) from office or any place with Internet connection. This is definitely not a regular webcam used with instant messaging because: - I need it to operate without computer means it should be a network/IP-based camera to hook to the router (always on). - No need authorization of the receiver to view (surely there should be a password/authentication to view through the web). Any suggestion on camera & software? (home quality, not like professional CCTV)
