Tell you what, there's such a great amount of local talent in the UAE, it's amazing. Just a few acts to watch out for that deserve a really go shot at it are IMHO: Juliana Down - Rock/Indie band - from Dubai/Abu Dhabi Killosal - R&B - 2 students from Abu Dhabi Madman and Phat Mo - R&B/Hip-Hop - From Dubai Desert Heat - R&B - Dubai DJ KV - Trance - Dubai - currently mixing it up in Ibiza - yeah baby! Jaxxma - R&B - Ronnie Jaxx and Av Deep from Madnights Could do with some more dance type acts though, but looking good so far.

Juliana Down the vocals are a bit too polished, DJ KV plays excellent music...

KV has an album out with the name "Unite" you can get it at virgin. I do agree with chocs we need to support the local talent. chocs would be nice if you told us where we can see the acts since some of those i have not heard of but would like to check out.

Chocs, perhaps instead of Kareoke there could be a "local music" night out for DF (non yahoos of course!)
