Hey...am very very new to this forum as well as to the thought of packing and leaving Australia. So - can anyone give me some hints or advice about hunting for work before (?) I leave for Dubai or should I wing it when I get there?? I've managed Day Spas and currently am managing an audiologists clinic...basic reception is all I'm really looking for, but will take pretty much anything :D Time for a sea-change

Here's something to get you started - jobs in Dubai . There's a ton of other similar posts in the forum too.
Basic reception jobs are not well paid though, and can be long hours. Managing a spa might be a better option.

Also, if you are searching only in multi-national companies, then you can visit jobbind.com. However, this is not general, as it only connects you to multi-national companies. Cheers! Susan

Hi all, anybody here have close contacts of Freezone office? I plan to leave my job and wishes to join freezone jobs. I am 1 yr. and a half in my current company I am more on customer service and admin jobs, but can do Multi task. :)

you will be banned if you try to leave your job before you have completed at least 2 full years of your contract with your current employer

Yes I agree on you, I am aware also of the banned. Infact it is automatic banned if you wish to terminate your contruct. But on the good side you are not oblige to pay for the visa processing for your current visa which is most of the company are charging it to the individuals whom resign less than 1 year. Even if you stayed more than one year, still it is automatic banned on the ministry of labour for 6 months.
Now my plan is to transfer to a certain company in Freezones, since banned issue is not applicable to freezone Companies. Other wise if my company can give me NOC then no need for me to transfer particularly on Freezones. Re on NOC I think its 50:50, I hope you have someone that can refer me on Freezone jobs.
Thank you for your kind response.

http://www.dubaiforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=30880 Okay, let me see if I got this straight. You are on your second employer. You have been working for the second employer for about two years, but only 11 months on their sponsorship because the ban you received from your previous employer. So you actually worked illegally for 1 year?? Breaking a limited contract will mean that you have to pay your employer the equivalent of 6 weeks salary! Breaking a limited contract will mean that you are not entitle to any gratuity benefits! Breaking a limited contract will mean that if you wanted to work in Dubai you would be banned for 6 months. The ban should be 6 months only. Your best option would be to try a Free Zone. It is best to check with the particular Free Zone Authority Office of the FZ in which you want to go and work as their regulations differ, some (such as JAFZA) require a No Objection Certificate from your current employer as well.

Hi there! I am asking for help or advice. I would like to find a job in Dubai. I know that I don’t have big experience in my profession only because I just finished my University (in this summer). But I do have experience in tourism. Last 6 months I was working in Turkey In Tez-tour company . I was a tour guide, helped a hotel guide and also had some transfers. By my education my specialties: Business Economics and Management of an Enterprise. And now I’m searching for job as administration, secretary, tour guide, hotel guide, guest relation or economist and accountant without experience. If somebody can help me I will appreciate that. Also I am from Russia (Siberia).
