I have been driving a RHD car till now. Do people who come from countries where RHD is a norm find it very drastic to drive a LHD car. I am just skeptical because I going to take my driving lessons pretty soon :)

Shouldn't be too hard. |

I found it a bit tricky to start off with, as I was always "hogging" the right side of the lane I was driving in. But you will quickly get used to it.

what a relief.... secondly are there any rules passing the R/As? I see crazy accidents every time I pass by one. Still trying to guess whats the rule :?
yorky500
No, you would think there are rules, but there is NONE. The bigger the car you have, the more you are allowed to cut from the left lane to the right hand exit.

the person on the left has the right of way.

i was driving a RHD before i came here, initially it was a big mess i was scared seeing cars coming right in front of you and turning the other way but then i got used to it. now i am one of the maniacs on the road

I had rented a car last year when i was in Abu Dhabi. Coming from India where we have RHD cars, I did not face much trouble but i did have some moments  The biggest difference i saw was the traffice sense (no idea abt Dubai though). I was amazed and it was quite a shock for me. 8) Will be renting a car again when I am there in December. See you then! :D Cheers
