Laptop question

Dumb question, but can i bring my laptop from the states and be able to use it in Dubai? I mean for wireless and plug it into the outlets in dubai. from my understanding the TV and DVD systems in dubai are different than the states, so i wanted to be able to use my laptop for wireless internet usage and to watch my dvd collection. thanks

Check with some tools like Nero InfoTool if your DVD drive of your laptop supports multi regions. Rather than bringing heavy and fragile discs, I suggest you to rip all your DVDs into external harddisk.
