| A'salam aleykum all. I was thinking when the thread "Dull" was started that DubaiForums can have some kind of a chat channel for all the off topic or hang around thing. I started an IRC channel for this forum if people are interested in to come and join and just hang out and chat 'bout anything or just idle if you wish. If there is any one who is interested of the channel then I can concider OP access. Here is a little guide for people who never used mIRC if you wish you to join the chat:
2. When finished download, double-click on it and install the program. 3. When you have finished the install then choose "Run mIRC". 4. Now this will appear. Fill in the information you want: ![]() 5. After that click on "Server" under "Connect". Choose Freequest on the list and then click "Select": ![]() 6. Then it will take you back to where you first begun. Click on "Connect to server" here: ![]() 7. A pop up window will appear called mIRC Favourites. Write DubaiForums there and then click on "Join": ![]() 8. And there you go, you are in! =) ![]() |

| just from my recent experience in this, these thing never do really well, as most of the time people just come up here to check on whats happening and what replies they got, very few actually spend time to talk to one another. if they did, they would use msn or some other form of chat |

| Hm, it depends. We'll give it a try. I am just "offering" this cause it would be interesting to see if it works or not. |

| Something more simpler would be to IM or PM those who appear online as registered users. This would definitely be a different experience that on MSN or Yahoo. Any thoughts if this can be achieved? A Chatroom on the otherhand would turn out to be quite boring as several topics hit the room at the same time and you don't know when to get in or get out. |
