| Amazing stuff!!! :thumbright:
It seems that you were actually staying in Burj Al Arab...
Am I right? :) |
| liverpool4ever |
| Thanks
Regarding your question, actually no, I didn't stay there |
| Andyba |
| Hm.. strange when I was there, they allowed to take photos only from the ground floor of the hall... |
| liverpool4ever |
| I was told I could take photos as long as I kept the use of the flash to a minimum |

| I am awestruck by the hotel! It is really one of its kind.
I read somewhere on the net that US$1billion was spent on furnishing the Burj al-Arab that it will take 400 years of full occupancy to just BREAK EVEN.
How can anyone afford even the lowest of US$6000 a night?! |

| MaaaD |
| I was there last week and the rate card they gave me showed the lowest room to be around $1500 a night and not $6000 .. however it went up to over $10,000 per night ..
Burj Al Arab was built with one purpose to create a buzz for Dubai and a tourist destination. It worked like a charm ! the money invested in building it was well invested, while the hotel itself might not make the return on investment the publicity/marketing/benefits it bought Dubai is very well worth every penny spent on it :) |

| Last couple of times I was there (on business) they were trying to stop tourists from taking photos. They also ban people from taking photos in restaurants. |

| wanted to add some photos of Burj from my collection, but didn't get how  |

| ive been there and i have loads of pictures but the quality is not good cuz it was at night..every thing is gold plated and as far as i remember they used 9tons of gold in the hotel.
i was trying to scratch the gold plated things hoping that some gold would come in my nails..lol |

| I just find the whole thing a bit obscene and over the top.
Notice how you never get picturs of the Burj from the sea looking into land? Because it looks like a giant cross! |

| Amazing pics!!! Ive only seen the outside of the hotel...so getting to view the inside looks breath taking! :D |
| D-Unit |
| ya I read somewhere that the architect who designed burj el arab has always had a dream of making the biggest cross in the golf.. |

| I was there for dinner a few months ago and they let us take photos once most of the other diners had left. |
