| Hi, We got hitched a few weeks ago, I am still only on a visit visa and hubby is a resident. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get his sponsorship and become a resident asap in light of the new rules coming in on the 1st August. Thanks in advance for your help! |

| Easiest way is to get your husbands HR or PR chap from the office to get the papers completed – even if you pay him something. He will need your passport, husband’s passport and the unabridged copy of your marriage certificate (which must also be attested). I’m not certain of the charges – cost of sponsorship and will have to look it up. I think the unattested certificate is required as it has both your maiden name (which probably still in your current passport) as well as your husbands family name |
