There are 147 "rules" they published. Most fines/points can be awarded in the presence of police or without (photo radar, etc.) Any fines associated with the vehicle=the points will be assigned to the registered owner. That is, unless you get pulled over. For example..Failing to wear seatbelt= dhs. 400 and 4 points, but you need to be busted in person. Not giving way to pedestrians= dhs. 500 and 6 points, but you need not be pulled over. I saw the boys in green just writing down license numbers yesterday for offences like this. DON'T LEND YOUR CAR OUT!!!!! How's this: Causing death of others=12 points and 30 day confiscation of vehicle, but driving without a number plate is 24 points and 60 days! Wow. |

| As a 4 time visitor to Dubai and having driven there each time I'll say its about time something was done.Most of the drivers I doubt if they could pass any kind of driving test.Its unbelievably bad and dangerous out there especially teh way u get cut up constantly ! |

Text alerts will be sent if the tel. number you are holding was the one that you had when you registered the vehicle. |
