I saw on TV that she was actually ridiculed for not opening a school in the USA..I thought thats phunked up, because other countries so need it more than the US. (even though some may need it more than S. Africa)

Yesterday Oprah opened a school complex in South Africa which she funded ($40M). The school is for young girls who would not otherwise have the opportunity. Amazing modern complex (28+ acres). Great story.

Well done to Oprah however, I find it sad that South Africa is not a poor country and yet it takes people outside of it to do things like this. I think the SA Gov should be ashamed and stop lining its own pockets and start giving it to those that need it.
