Just to make it clear, there are two parts of GITEX. The Shopper part which is at the Airport Expo. And the Exhibition itself which is more geared towards enterprises and corporate users rather than retail. So to buy a laptop or some other gizmo check out Shopper: http://www.shopper.gitex.com/ And here is the Admission policy for that: Dates: 18-24 November 2006 Location: Airport Expo Dubai Timings: 11am to 9pm all days except Friday. 3pm to 9pm Friday only Admission Fee: AED 15. Free for children under five.

Don't forget that the event at the Convetion Centre is an exhibition only. If you want to get some good electronics bargins, you need to head over to Gitex Shopper at the Airport Expo. The traffic is hell though.
