Salary ranges can literally be anything, depends what industry you work in, what qualifications you have and sadly in many cases what nationality you are.

By Civil/Construction do you mean as an engineer? If so, next question - what's ur nationality? AFAIK most of these jobs tends to go to more educated west asians (Indians etc) who are given modifed packages - somewhere between local package and expat package.

i work for a construction firm, yes the salary range depends on your nationality. it is a fact that i came to accept.

Thanks Guys, abit more info: I am an Australian Citizen, position would be along a site managers role on the new LRT for an International construction company. I am a "specialist in my field of construction > very experienced" thanks in advance for any more info!

A fellow Aussie... oi oi oi! I would suspect your field would be very 'specialized' and any expat offering would be via the company you work for. From a corporate perspective I doubt it would be value adding to advertise such a role via a website - hence the apparent lack of them. Should be safe to say mnc construction companies would offer such posts, if any, to internal candidates. I guess you would be wiser on this, as you are the specialist in your field... Btw... LRT - light rail transit?

Besides I have my Masters Degree in Information Technology MSc (IT). I am an Indian. How much can I expect as my salary package in Dubai? I recently saw a news item in gulfnews online newspaper. It says 87% of the companies in Dubai are having less than 10 employees. What are my chances of a network/internetwork support job?

All the stats say is that a majority of registered businesses here are small companies.
