Duty Free Prices

Does anyone know if the prices at the airport are any cheaper than say at Areej or Debenhams? As Dubai is meant to be tax free anyway

Yeap, cheaper. Dubai is 'tax' free but doesn't mean import duties are inapplicable.

The things that are very reasonable are generally Booze & Cigs, due to the heavy rate of taxation imposed after importation.
