| there is no "set standard" for dress codes. Dubai is quiet liberal in this respect, however bear in mind that it is a Muslim country and you may have business dealings with Muslim people, if you are dressed to liberally they could find it offensive. Start off conservatively, wear a pant-suit, and see what others in the office are wearing, use this as a guideline, as a precaution don't wear skirts above the knee to work. In sharjah, you can be arrested or fined if your skirt is shorter than 2 inches below the knee! malls and public areas are pretty liberal, and very similar to what you would find in any european country |
