Zam, for GP love Dr. Bernard Fischer on AlWasl Road. He is AWESOME. Lives in Springs and will even make a housecall. He is brilliant!!! Have recommended him to 5 or 6 people and they love him. He is from South Africa.

I don't think nationality is relevant at all when selecting a doctor. You should look at their credentials, experience and recommendations.

I got skin allergies once and i went to see a dermatologist and to my surprised the doc's own skin isn't good. :( So, i stepped out of her clinic and went to another derma  Nationality of the doctor matters when it comes to hygiene.
