Civil Enginner needs help!

Hey all! I have been offered a job with the construction company Carillion as a graduate civil engineer based in the UK. The company is also located in Dubai (Al futtaim carillion) but seem slightly reluctant to send me there for a year or so until I have gained more site experience. Trouble is, I want to go to Dubai now, what better place to get experience in my opinion...Any thoughts from any1 who have had a similar dilemna would be much appreciated! Cheers, John
