I have a National Certificate in Carpentry, and a National Certificate in Carpentry Advanced-Which is equal to a diplomicy. | hey sorry to burst your bubble, but most carpentry jobs are filled by labor from India, Pakistan, Nepal etc .. so you will find the pay is very low (~$300 per month) and probably not anything close to what you have going on back in NZ. However you probably have a better chance getting a higher paying job if you spin off your skill as "interior designer" rather than carpenter ... good luck ! |

| My husband got work and he is a carpenter. He applied through seek, and they recruited him to work on an international development. Don't give up. Just keep applying. You'll get work. There is a trade shortage worldwide. And hubby gets AED 19,000. |
