| Is there anywhere in Dubai that you can find out what price you should expect to pay or advertise a car for or is it down to blind luck? For example have seen a VW Tourano for 92000 but it is 4 years old and it seems a little high to me. Any ideas? |

| Go to the Al Awir car market to get an idea (but assume everything there is dodgy). Look in Gulf News ads. Find out new car price and depreciate 30% for first year, 20% each year after that. Modify depending on brand. Japanese and Mercedes depreciate less, American depreciate more. |

| Car do NOT depreciate the way you explained,.. It depends on the car, some cars depreciate 10% in 2 years, depends on what car it is. I agree with the American depreciates more and japanese less.. |

It was a generalisation. |

very very few cars depreciate 10% over 2 years as a general rule take 20% off the sale price as soon as you drive the car away from the dealer, bonks generalisation is not far off. |
