| The easiest way to approach this is to ask them what they are offering and then evaluate it against some of the other pointers posted on the forum: Take into account tax free nature of the earnings (not sure if you’re subject to taxation in Canada on foreign earnings) The high cost of accommodation in Dubai Relatively low cost of living etc. There are no real "industry standards" in Dubai! Many companies simply ask the potential employee to give them a figure, in most cases knowing that the person will have little local knowledge or experience and ask for a lot less than what they actually should be. |
